Be Patient
Have you ever been in a place where you felt that your life wasn't moving as fast as you wanted? Well, I have been there plenty of times. I have felt life a failure. I've felt like I was being punished by God. I've felt like my life was a straight stand still and everyone's life was moving. But then, I had to snap out of the "Woe is me" mentality and realize that I was exactly where I was supposed to be. I had to realize that my lack of patience was a slap in the face to God and I was blocking my blessings. With social media, televison, and people like Cardi B, we can sometimes feel like somehow we are off track in life. We also fail to realize that we don't know their full story. We don't know how many years they have been working towards their goal, how their "real" life is off social media, or the struggle they had to go through, to get to where they are. Everyone has a different journey, but no one skips the "waiting" period. Either way, it's not our job to look to the left or right and figure out "how". Our job is to stay in our own lane, be grateful for what we do have, work towards our goals (daily), and be patient for OUR time to come.
You may be in the season of growth and becoming a better you. You can't get to the next level, if you aren't showing gratitude for what you currently have and also cheering on that sister or brother that is winning around you. I see so many people not receiving their blessings because they are so envious of what someone else has. The sad part is, they sometimes don't even realize it. Stop looking at other people and focus on YOU. Everyone has their time. If you're consistent, grateful, positive, and most importantly patient; you will level up.
Support your brothers and sisters when they are winning and know that your time is coming. Empower and uplift people around you; by sharing your journey, and watch how prosperous your life will be. I understand patience isn't always easy, but I keep myself around positive and empowering women, such as the Building Bosses Movement, so that I can stay uplifted. Remember to trust the process, enjoy the ups the downs, and wait for God's timing.
"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope." Jeremiah 29:11
